Gather all the necessary tools and secure the horse in a quiet place. It's essential that the horse is relaxed before you begin.

Brush the mane well on the side where the hair will be cut.

Start the cut from the base of the neck or nape of the neck, moving towards the longer strands.

Using scissors, cut longer hairs at an angle, maintaining the desired length and using your whole hand for an even cut.

Brush the mane downwards and repeat the process until you achieve a uniform length.

If some areas have thicker hair, hold the scissors vertically to trim the thick area and achieve an even finish.

Finally, brush and fix any loose or uneven strands.
